Day 6 – Amazing Day of Hiking at Hike the Highlands
Corney Brook Falls, Cape Breton Highlands National Park
The day began with another great sunrise. Followed by a peaceful and solitude hike along Cheticamp River and Salmon Pools. Off to waterfalls at Corney Brook. And then the grand finale – a sunset, full moon and three moose (1 cow and 2 bull) on Skyline.

Later found out by our great waitress at Mountain View Restaurant in Pleasant Bay, the first full moon in September is the start of the rutting (mating) season for the moose. That is the time you stay away from bull moose. Do not go close to them or upset them especially with camera flashes or flashlights.
