Hike the Highlands will be helping people stay active this winter and hosting three guided snowshoes hikes. The snowshoe hikes are part of  the Hike Nova Scotia winter series.  The 1st one is a full moon hike on Freshwater Lake trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Ingonish Beach, on Saturday, Jan. 26th at 7:00 pm. Park at CBHNP Admin Building, Ingonish Beach.  Register at 6:45 pm. Please bring snowshoes as we have none to rent.

The 2nd snowshoe hike will be on the Clyburn Valley trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Ingonish Centre on Saturday, February 23rd beginning at 10:00 am. This hike will be to Gold Mine and back and is expected to take 2 hrs plus. Please bring a snack & lunch. Dress accordingly and in layers. Register at 9:45 am in Clyburn Parking Lot.

And finally the third snowshoe hike will take place at Bay Road Valley on Saturday, March 23 beginning at 10:00 am.  This hike will take you to valley behind Sugar Loaf Mountain. This snowshoe hike is expected to take 2.5 hours to complete. Please bring snacks and lunch. Dress accordingly and in layers.
