Day 5 – Meat Cove Hikes

Great weather conditions and incredible scenery made hikes on Day 5 of the festival at Meat Cove very memorable. Over 70 hikers enjoyed Cape St. Lawrence, Little Grassy & Boardwalk and Meat Cove Mountain hikes. For second day in a row, hikers were welcome by a horse. This time it was in Cape St. Lawrence.
Hike the Highlands Festival would like to thank Derrick MacLellan and his volunteers at Meat Cove Welcome Centre for their fine hospitality and great lunch. It was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our visit to your community immensely.
Today’s hikes, Wednesday, September 17 – Salmon Pools – 10:00 am., Fishing Cove – 10:00 am. Both are located on the Cheticamp side of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
