Day 3 – The Sun is Back in Cape Breton Highlands

The big news today was the sun came back in the afternoon and provided some warm temperatures for hikers to enjoy the Cabot Landing Beach hike. The morning was a different story at Tenerife and Money Point Gulch with cloudy, drizzle conditions and some rain. Over 160 hikers enjoyed the four hikes today.

Bill Danielson, a meterologist and author of Cape Breton Weather, did a great presentation in the evening on the Trends of Cape Breton Weather. It was well received. Hikers were amazed at some of the recent storms in northern Cape Breton the past 10 years.
