2024 Hike the Highlands Festival

Online Registration & online payment for the 21st Annual Hike the Highlands Festival, September 13-22, 2024, is now open.

Early bird registration – If you purchase a Festival & Park Pass or a Festival pass by August 4, 2024, you will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Please note : This t-shirt offer does not include those who purchase a weekend pass, daily pass or one hike pass. A limited number of  T-shirts will be able for purchase at the merchandise table at festival headquarters.

Online Registration is a two step process – 1) register for your hikes and 2) pay online for your pass.  There is no increase in fees for 2024.  

Some tips for online payment. 1) Make sure you allow pop-up windows. Go into settings or preference in your browser :  Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox,  to allow or enable pop-up windows. 2) When you click pay online it will take you to eventbrite site. click get tickets on the eventbrite site, then find the pass you want and use the plus sign to get the number of tickets you require. Most only require one. Then click checkout. Up comes another window. This window is called Billing info. It asks for name and email address.  Once completed, click place order. You will be then taken to PayPal for payment. You can pay two ways –  thru a PayPal account or a credit card. Recommend the credit card. Follow instructions and complete. Registration NOTES :
1) If you purchase the festival pass & park pass your registration fees includes the following – all guided hikes, evening activities & presentations, open & closing ceremonies, a Cape Breton Highlands National Park pass & hiker distance award and photo contest.  2) You will pick up your registration package at the festival headquarters at St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail, Ingonish, Nova Scotia, and 3) Note: You are require to have a park pass when hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

2) a) If you purchase the festival pass only your registration fee includes all guided hikes,  evening activities & presentations, open & closing ceremonies, hiker distance award program, photo contest.  b) You will pick up your registration package at the festival headquarters at St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail, Ingonish, Nova Scotia. Note: You are require to have a park pass when hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. If you purchase a festival pass only, this assumes you already have a park pass. 

3)  Weekend pass includes hikes & evening activities only.  Daily pass includes hikes & evening activity for the day, and one hike pass includes one guided hike. Note: You are require to have a park pass when hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
