2017 Hike the Highlands Festival


 2017 REGISTRATION FEES below.  Online Registration will be opening on February 11th, 2017 at 8:00 pm..

Note: In 2017, Cape Breton Highlands National Park Passes are free but you still require one when hiking on any of their trails during the festival. They are available at Hike the Highlands Festival headquarters in Ingonish or at the toll booths at Ingonish Beach or Cheticamp.  

Hike the Highlands Festival Pass only:

Festival Pass      
Individual $90.00    
Couples $130.00    
Family $140.00    
One Day Pass (includes 2 hikes same day & Evening  activity) $30.00    
One Hike $20.00    

 Weekend Festival Pass – Saturday & Sunday only – hikes & evening pass.  $50.00


Note: * All hikes in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park require an park entry pass.

Registration fee includes:
Hike the Highlands Pass
Guided hikes
Trained guides and sweeps
hikers distance award program and a log book.
Water and granola bars for each hike
Evening presentations & activities
Opening ceremonies & Closing Ceremonies


You will have 3 options to register and pay :
1) online registration & payment ,
2) by snail, online brochure coming in May 2016
3) at festival headquarters in Ingonish (see hours of operation below) and
4 ) at the trailhead.

Option 1 – Online registration is a two step process – Register for your hikes online , and then payment of  your festival registration online (see process below). Online Registration will open on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 8:00 pm. (Atlantic Standard Time) 

a)  1st –  register for your hikes online   Print a copy of the hikes you registered for before clicking submit.
b) 2nd – Proceed now to pay your registration fee online    1) Click tickets,  a window will come up  2) Then Pick the pass you want to purchase.  example – ie.  Individual, Couple or Family  Festival Pass with National Park Entry Pass,

c) Make sure in the quantity column on the right is on number one.  Then click checkout.  Our festival use the eventbrite online registration system with paypal.
d) You have two options to pay –  1) Paypal or 2) or with your credit card. Follow  the steps it asked.
e) Next complete billing information, then click on review order & continue button
f) Next if everything looks in order, click pay now.
g) You will receive two  e-mails, 1) one from paypal indicating payment was sent to Hike the Highlands Festival Society(organizers) by using paypal, 2) an e-mail from Eventbrite that allows you access to your ticket information and print your ticket/receipt

Option 3 – The festival headquarters is located at St. John’s Hall, 35981 Cabot Trail, Ingonish. The 2017 schedule and hours the registration desk is open are as follows :

Option 4  – Register at Trail head 30 minutes before the hike starts. Please have the correct amount of registration fee with you. Registration people at Trail heads generally don’t carry change with them.
