Today was about wild mushrooms and they were abundant on all three hikes – North River Big Falls, North River Little Falls and Usige Ban Falls.  It was appropriate that our evening presentation was “Fabulous Fall Fungi” by Bethsheila Kent.

Sixty plus hikers enjoyed the trails today on overcast fall day. Thanks to our guides – David Williams, Dennis Laffan, Bethsheila Kent, Ruth Schneider and sweeps Mary Ann Wilson, Ernie MacAulay, Sharon Proctor & Aaron Schneider for a splendid job.

One of the strengths of our festival is our great volunteers. I would like to acknowledge long time volunteer Sharon Proctor who has been a tower of strength for us since year one and especially this year helping us with trailhead registration, sweeping trails and so much more. Thank-you Sharon.

Here a few pictures of North River Big Falls Hike today and of course the many mushrooms.
