Mica Hill and White Point were the featured hikes on Day 9 of the 2016 Hike the Highlands Festival.  Sunny conditions provided a few sun burns today.

Mica Hill hiking trail takes you thru an Acadian Mixed Forest up to wind swept highlands plateau. Hikers were able see white quartz and mica on the plateau as well some great views of the North Mountain range down to Bay St. Lawrence.

One of the most popular hikes each year is the White Point to Burnt Head trail. Local guide Lisa Dixon is well versed on the history of the area and the views of  Two Tittle and the North Mountain range are spectacular here.

Day 9 concluded with the closing ceremonies and social where hikers received their hiker distance awards, door prizes and the closing show of the 2016 Hike the Highlands festival.
