Day 5 – Virtual Festival
Day 5 of the virtual festival featured a wide variety of hikes from Dundurn (RBG), Greenwich National Park and Mi’Kmaq Display (PEI), Skyline Trail (ON) and Franey Trail as reported by hikers. Entertainment was featured in the evening with videos from : a) Deron Donovan – ” Wild Mountain Thyme” and “The Gumboot Clogaroo” b) Juanita Sauve – “Lost my Heart in Cape Breton” and ” Wear me Down“, c)” Hike the Highlands ” by Terry Smith d) “The Old Churchyard” by Pauline Scanlon and “For You” by Saskia Griffiths-Moore .
Daily poll question – Do you think hikers are social distance all the time ? Answers : 62% said most hikers are social distance well except the odd few, 38% found hikers relaxing social distance more in the summer.
